FrançaisELK Studios: online slot game provider
Twenty ELK slots in one place, from Taco Brothers in 2015 to Pirots 5 in 2026. Play each demo free, compare RTP, volatility and max win, then read what each game actually does.
Our games
Play opens our casino partner, and Info opens the full review with a free demo. Newest first.
Pirots 5: the newest game here
Three worlds, a traitor captain and the first Pirots with RTP settings that reach 96.0%, though operators can run lower ones, so check the info screen before you play.
X-iter: pay to skip straight to the feature
X-iter is a menu of paid game modes, usually five, built into most ELK slots since 2021. Each mode is priced as a multiple of your bet, from a 2x or 3x hunt for better bonus odds up to a 500x super bonus. ELK's rules give the modes the same RTP as the base game, but the cost is real and the swings get much bigger. It is not offered in every market.

What makes ELK Studios good
ELK is a Stockholm studio founded in September 2013, with more than 150 titles on its games list and part of Light & Wonder since December 2021. Four things separate it from the average slot supplier.
It publishes the numbers
ELK's data sheets state RTP, a volatility score out of 10, hit frequency and a hard win cap for each game. Plenty of suppliers give you the RTP and a vague word for volatility. The score lets you compare two ELK games before you spend anything.
Maths comes first
ELK treats the maths model as the place where a game is defined and pairs it with a theme that fits. For Wild Toro, it says more than 17 million spins were run and checked before release. Its games are certified by test labs including Trisigma and Gaming Laboratories International.
Built for phones
ELK designs mobile first, with portrait controls reachable by one thumb and the same icons in every display mode. The client detects the device and adapts, which is why the demos on this site open a different layout on a phone.
Recognised by the trade
Wild Toro took Game of the Year at the 2017 EGR Operators Awards. X-iter won Game innovation of the year at the 5 Star Starlet awards in 2021. Pirots 2 is listed by ELK as Game of the Year 2024, and coverage of the CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards names the category Slot of the Year.
Why ELK's mechanics are unusual
ELK's series each rest on one idea you won't find copied exactly elsewhere. They change how wins form, so the games don't feel like reskins of one another.
CollectR
There are no reels or paylines. Four birds sit on a grid and eat adjacent gems of their own colour, and each gem pays. A meter counts what they collect and, when full, drops chests of feature symbols.
Nitro Reels
A single reel section can hold up to 12 small symbols, which multiplies the ways count instead of adding to it. That is how the original Nitropolis reaches 85,155,840 ways and Nitropolis 2 reaches 191,102,976.
Sliding avalanches
Round symbols in Cygnus drop and slide sideways under gravity, so a win can bring symbols from other columns into play. Each multiplier scatter that reaches the bottom doubles the multiplier, up to x64.
Feature Reel and Cool Reel
A row of feature symbols waits above the grid in Tropicool, and Tropicool 2 grows it to three rows as the Cool Reel. When a win clears space those symbols fall in and can set off the next win, so features arrive through the chain rather than from a separate trigger.
Walking wilds
Toro and the matadors walk from reel to reel, and every step gives a respin. When the bull catches a matador he leaves wilds behind him. In Wild Toro II he also absorbs the Gold Matador's multiplier.
X-iter
Most ELK slots since 2021 include these paid modes. Instead of one bonus buy you get a ladder, usually of five, so you can pay a little for better bonus odds or a lot for a guaranteed super bonus.
